YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cell culture of cancer cells and primary immune cells;
- Generating whole tumor cell lysates and modifying these with several oxidants;
- Screen the melanoma cell lysate immunogenicity by investigating immune cell activation (flow cytometry, qPCR, ELISA);
- Supporting and/or implementing testing oxidized lysates in animal models in vivo;
- Analysis, interpretation and presentation of collected data and participation in the preparation of scientific publications;
- Exchange and discussion of results within the team.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Completed University degree in natural sciences (Master of Science or equivalent) in biomedicine, immunology, human biology or a related field
- High affinity to data and large-data-driven science, as well as strong logical reasoning
- Experience with bioanalytical methods (flow cytometry, ELISA, qPCR) desired
- Strong interest in interdisciplinary research on cellular and immunological recognition and mechanisms of oxidized proteins
- Flexibile, data and experiment-oriented work ethics
- Problem-solving skills in decoding relations between biological data sets
- Pre-existing competencies with and/or general affinity to in vivo models highly desired
- High degree of commitment, motivation, independent work, teamwork skills, sense of responsibility and reliability
- Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken) and preferably also German
