2. Why do we need your data?

The personal data that applicants provide are collected and processed in order to recruit new staff and to carry out appropriate to carry out the corresponding staffing procedures. Applicants are selected on the basis of suitability, ability and professional performance (Art. 33 Abs. 2 GG). Applications must be assessed according to these criteria. We also collect further data in order to comply with the requirements of the Equal Opportunities Act M-V (GlG M-V) and the 9th Book of the Social Code (SGB IX). 3. Data collection

In the course of your online application, we will collect and process the following personal application data from you, among others:

We need your contact data for communication purposes. If an interview takes place via video conference due to special circumstances and with your consent, we require an e-mail address for forwarding the access data.

For the implementation of the GlG M-V, information on gender is collected. The degree of disability or equality is collected (if indicated by you) in order to comply with the special regulations of § 165 SGB IX. For the assessment of aptitude, performance and qualifications, we require certificates, evaluations, proof of publications / third-party funding obtained, other certificates), which you submit to us with your application.

The answers and findings in the selection process are documented in relation to the requirements profile of the respective position; this serves to determine suitability, performance and ability. As a matter of principle, your data will only be forwarded to the internal departments and specialist departments of our institute responsible for the specific application procedure. 5. Your rights as a person affected by data processing

You have a right to:

(a) information about the data stored about you and its processing, as well as a copy of the data (Article 15 DSGVO),

b) to have data corrected if your data is incorrect or incomplete (Article 16 DS-GVO).

c) to the deletion of the data stored about you, if one of the conditions of Article 17 DS-GVO applies,

d) to restriction of data processing (Article 18 DS-GVO),

e) to revocation in the event of consent to the involvement of the staff council or the use of a video conference,

f) to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority of their federal state of residence or the supervisory authority responsible for the data controller (see above).

6. Retention period of application data

As a rule, your personal application data will be deleted automatically six months after completion of the application process. This does not apply if legal provisions prevent deletion, if further storage is necessary for the purpose of providing evidence, or if you have expressly consented to longer storage.

7. Storage for future job advertisements

If we are unable to offer you a current vacancy, but believe on the basis of your profile that your application may be of interest for future vacancies, we will store your personal application data for twelve months, provided you expressly consent to such storage and use.

8. Data security

In order to protect the data collected in the course of your application from manipulation and unauthorized access, we have taken various technical and organizational precautions. In particular, the transmission of your online application is encrypted in accordance with the currently recognized state of the art.
