0572 AGRICULTURAL SCIENTIST (F/M/D)
The INP is an internationally renowned leader in the research and development of methods and applications for low-temperature plasmas. The advantages of plasma technologies are becoming increasingly interesting for agricultural practices, i.e. for seed hygiene and germination, protecting crops from diseases and promoting their growth, and generally as an alternative to agrochemicals. The different novel approaches require an evaluation of plasma methods, the validation of treatments, and an assessment of their economic potential. The success depends on the dedication of a multidisciplinary team of scientists and practitioners, especially biologists, physicists, and engineers. If you are a motivated biologist, who wants to explore and shape the exciting possibilities that are offered by plasma methods together with us, we are looking forward to your application to strengthen our team in Greifswald starting from January 1, 2025 as

- PhD in either agricultural sciences, biology with a focus on plant growth, plant pathology, microbiology, or any comparable area
- Expertise in the field of plasma treatments for agricultural applications documented by a pertinent publication record
- Good knowledge of experimental and analytical methods for the study of microbial inactivation (on seeds and/or plants), seed germination, and plant growth
- Ideally good knowledge for the study of metabolic processes in plants, in plant genomics, and in plant proteomics
- Experience in the design and successful implementation of research projects
- Motivation for application-oriented research in an interdisciplinary environment
